Egypt's vehicle imports grew by 73.6% in seven months of 2018

Egypt's passengers vehicles imports inched up by 73.6% to 54,502 units during the first seven months of 2018 up from 31,580 units earlier, according to reports released by Alexandria's Customs Authority.
Autos' imports rose by 59% to EGP12,164bn up from EGP7,643bn.
Passenger vehicles' duty relief, becoming effective in pursuance with free trade agreements with Europe, Turkey and some Arab countries,  jumped by 57.4% to EGP3.4bn up from EGP2.1bn, driving up customs duty's revenues by 21% to EGP4.5bn up from EGP3.7bn earlier.
