BPE Investments to acquire 50% stake in a solar power plant

BPE Investments firm considers acquiring 50% stake in an existing solar power plant in Aswan governorate.
The chairman of BPE Investments Hazem Barakat told Al Mal newspaper that the capacity of the power station is 50 mw, and investments allocated for the possible deal range between USD 15mn to USD 20mn.
The entry into the deal will be decided on during the first quarter of 2019, he explained, adding that the power plant is the fourth station, in which the firm invests.
Barakat pointed out that his company pumped EGP 100mn previously to acquire stakes ranging between 15% - 30% in 3 solar power plants with total capacity of 130mw at the end of 2017.
