China's market sales of motor vehicles rose 4.2 percent in the first five months of this year, recording 11.5 million units, according to figures released by the US-based Fox To Move.
China's auto sales in May rose by 4.2 percent in May, with a total of 2.2 million vehicles, to match the market's sales levels in April of the same year, the report said.
In the first quarter of this year, sales of motor vehicles in Beijing reached 7.1 million vehicles, an increase of 4.3%.
F2M said China's domestic auto market saw a drop in its sales growth rate after accounting for nearly 30 percent of global car sales, adding that the Chinese government is currently seeking a real market development solution with the support of the electric car industry to reduce pollution and traffic congestion.
