Sanofi posted EGP1.32bn sales since early 2018

Sanofi Egypt posted EGP1.32bn sales in the Egyptian local market from early this year to late May, occupying the third position among firms operating in Egypt with 26.5% growth rate as compared with the same period of last year.
Also, May's sales rose to EGP253mln, edging up by EGP3mln as compared with those of closest rivals Pharco Group, according to the British AMS report tracking drug sales.
Sanofi's growth rose by 16.9% in last May from the same period of last year, falling below May's sales average of Egypt's pharmaceuticals estimated at 27.4%, as its market share increased to 4.9%.
The France-based  Sanofi, owning a large factory built in Egypt in 1960s, specializes in producing drugs treating diabetes, blood pressure, as well as diseases of the brain, nerves, and psychiatry. Ministry of Health approved prices of five drugs produced by Sanofi to be moved up last week.
