Egyptian investment in Sudan has reached $2.7 billion, the Ambassador to Khartoum Osama Shaltout said, the Sudanese Media Centre (SMC) reported on Monday.
Speaking to the SMC, Shaltout said that his country hopes to increase direct investments in the neighbouring country, noting that Sudan has “an attractive investment atmosphere in relation to resources.”
He also expected commercial exchange between the two countries to reach $1 billion by the end of this year.
The ambassador said that the commercial exchange between the two countries does not match relations between them.
