Stock Exchange loses EGP 220bn during the last 5 months

The Egyptian Stock Exchange's historical data revealed huge losses that hit listed companies’ market capitalization during the last five months, estimated at 220 billion pounds, about one quarter of the total value.

Traders’ dream to stay at the trillion pounds level recorded in April 25 trading session went off, and the market continue declining throughout the period, closing  last Thursday the session at 780 billion pounds level.

According to data, indicators witnessed a collective decline during the period, as the main index "EGX30" fell from 18363 to 14083 points, losing 4,280 points down 30.4%.
