The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) pledged more aids for the Lebanese economy program after the formation of the new government.

EBRD confirmed yesterday its pledge to spend 1.1 billion euros over the next six years in Lebanon, after the formation of a new government in the country following months of consultations.

EBRD’s Lebanon operations Head Gretchen Perry said in his speech at the Economic Development Conference through Reforms and Corporations (CEDER): “We have expected 1.1 billion euros ($ 1.26 billion) of activities over six years for an investment spending plan on infrastructure projects and other sectors," according to Reuters.

Perry was referring to the investment conference held in Paris in April last year.
